The R-SIM promises to unlock your iPhone 4S, letting you use it on any GSM network in the world. It works just like a regular SIM interposer; there is no need to jailbreak your iPhone or modify your SIM card. All you have to do is slide your SIM card into the R-SIM tray put the tray into your iPhone.
The R-SIM does, however, have its downsides. For one, it doesn’t work on 3G networks, so your iPhone will be limited to slow data speeds when away from Wi-Fi. The device is also brand new, so we can’t confirm how well this method works until we get our hands on it.
